Availability required: Immediately

Location: Hamilton ON & Dundas ON

Facility: Community Clinic
Rate: $32/hr

Shift : 7am 7pm and 7pm7am

Certification Required:

Skilled Trade Certificate in Basic and Advanced Foot Care or similar experience

Role and Responsibilities

1. Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the residents needs;
2. Develop revise and implement the resident care profiles;
3. Order administer and store medications and treatments in compliance with the policies of the facility pharmacy and standards of the College of Nurses;
4. Provide direct patient care
5. Practice under the CNO standards
6. Follow facility policies and procedures
7. Provide direct patient care in a hospital setting
8. Practice under the College of Nurses standards

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited institution.
• BLS/ACLS & eCTAS Certification an asset.
• Seniors home longterm care and/or hospital experience an asset.
• Active Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Availability to work shifts: days/evenings/nights and weekends as required.
• Proficient technical skills to include but not limited to: MS Word and email.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal/communication & organizational skills Effective problemsolving and conflict management skills.
• Proof of current immunization for measles mumps rubella and varicella (MMRV).
• Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest xray within the past five (5) years.
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certification.
