We are looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer who play a crucial role in building sensor prototypes and testing marketready products. The position is onsite at our R&D facility in Linz (Austria).
Tasks
- Prototype Refinement: Aid in finding ways of optimizing the device architecture.
- Product Design: Develop a commercial product design from the initial prototypes.
- Component Integration: Optimize the integration of electronic and sensing components to ensure reliable and accurate data collection.
- Durability Testing: Conduct rigorous testing to ensure the device can withstand various environmental conditions and achieve a longer lifespan and increased reliability.
- Manufacturability: Collaborate with manufacturing partners to streamline production processes and ensure scalability.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation and specifications for the sensor device.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with crossfunctional teams including software engineers and natural scientists to ensure seamless integration of the sensor with our product platform.
Requirements
- Education: Engineering high school (HTL) Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechatronics Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware development from prototypes to marketready products.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical and electrical CAD (e.g. Solidworks Onshape Altium) electronics assembly and debugging and embedded software programming (python C).
- ProblemSolving: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly document and present technical information.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Big Plus:
- Experience with IoTenabled devices and data collection systems.
- Knowledge of enhanced weathering and carbon capture technologies.
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping and 3D printing techniques.
