IT Support Technician Apprentice

We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Apprentice to join our expanding IT Team in our Lockington head office (Near Derby). We are seeking talented individuals to help support the continued growth of the practice working with all disciplines across our four offices.

FPCR are one of the countrys leading awardwinning multidisciplinary environmental design practices established for over 60 years.

Our Lockington office is far from your normal office based in a 17th Century Grade 2 listed manor house converted into offices which comes with its own unique challenges for IT systems. Due to the remote nature of our office having your own transport is recommended.

Typical Duties Might Include:

• Being the first point of contact for our staff

• Escalating calls where appropriate

• Assisting in larger projects (This may include some travel and out of hours work)

• Ensuring timely resolution of problems

• Creating knowledgebase documents for repeat problems

• Assisting new staff with technology on their first day

To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate the following capabilities and experience:

• A strong interest in IT

• Ability to work in a Team

• Desire and ability to learn quickly

• Be approachable and friendly

• Confidence speaking with people

• Personal IT Experience

• 5x A* C / 9 5 GCSE or Equivalent

The following would be beneficial:

• Previous experience working in IT

• Experience with network equipment

• Any relevant IT qualifications

• Programming experience (Any languages beneficial)
