Job Description

We are seeking a Signal Processing Scientist to join our team.

Ideal candidates will have expertise in underwater acoustics physics and modeling detection and estimation theories stochastic processes and signal processing algorithms related to SONAR RADAR or Digital Communications. This position involves collaborating with various interdisciplinary teams to develop sophisticated cuttingedge systems addressing new national security issues.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering Ocean Engineering Applied Mathematics or Applied Physics with 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Preferred: M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering Ocean Engineering Applied Mathematics or Applied Physics with 2 years of related engineering experience.
  • Strong background in digital signal processing including detection and estimation theory constrained optimization conventional and adaptive beamforming and Kalman filtering.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB with some experience in Python or C/C being a plus.
  • Understanding of underwater acoustic physics signal propagation and noise behavior.
  • Experience with acoustic modeling tools such as CASS/GRAB Bellhop or SST.
  • Skills in systems integration and performance testing both in laboratory settings and at sea.
