Job Description:

The Plating Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining plating baths and related equipment including fixtures hand tools and measuring instruments. Key duties include monitoring parts as they progress through plating baths maintaining the plating line (including tank additions cleanliness and chemical storage) and preparing and processing parts through various plating lines such as hard chrome plating. Additional responsibilities include plating masking racking cleanup simple metal fabrication and reading gauges and tachometers all while following established safety rules and regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent proficiency in basic math attention to detail effective communication and critical thinking skills. The candidate must be able to read write and understand English safely utilize and wear PPE gear (such as a dust mask steel toe boots and safety glasses) and work around caustic and corrosive chemicals. Physical requirements include the ability to sit climb stoop kneel crouch or crawl lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally and have 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses.
