Job Description:
As a Welder you will be responsible for utilizing your welding expertise to fabricate and assemble metal components according to engineering specifications and quality standards. The successful candidate will possess strong technical skills attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Location: Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania
Key Responsibilities:
1. Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and specifications to determine welding requirements.
2. Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding techniques based on materials and specifications.
3. Perform various welding processes including MIG TIG and stick welding to join metal components.
4. Inspect welds for accuracy quality and conformance to standards.
5. Conduct preventive maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
6. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
7. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven experience as a Welder in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG TIG and stick welding.
4. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints and specifications.
5. Strong attention to detail and quality.
6. Excellent handeye coordination and manual dexterity.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Willingness to work flexible shifts including days evenings and nights.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Welding certification from an accredited institution.
2. Prior experience with robotic welding systems.
3. Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and equipment.
4. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
5. Strong troubleshooting skills.
