Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Planning Manager role for a main contractor working on largescale projects with Saudi Aramco approval is to ensure the effective planning scheduling and coordination of all project activities to achieve timely and successful project delivery. The Planning Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as needed. This role involves close collaboration with project teams stakeholders and Saudi Aramco representatives to ensure compliance with project specifications industry standards and client requirements. The Planning Manager plays a critical role in optimizing resource allocation managing risks and providing strategic guidance to ensure project milestones are met within budget and to the highest quality standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning support for multiple small/ medium projects or a single large/ complex project
  • Management & coordination of project planning teams. Identification of future staffing requirements.
  • Represent the company for planningrelated matters in client meetings
  • Prepare and deliver planning presentations to senior management and client teams
  • Provide comprehensive planning support for Extension of Time
  • negotiations with Client

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Candidates MUST be immediately available and currently based in the UAE
  • Postgraduate qualifications relating to planning are a plus
  • 12 years minimum relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Broad construction experience across various sectors and a very good
  • understanding of specific work types.
  • Able to develop a WBS for a large/ complex project
  • Proven success in Extension of Time claims work using different delay
  • analysis techniques
  • Lean Planning/ Pull Planning
  • Knowledge of Risk Management
  • Preparation of resource & costloaded baseline programmes recovery
  • programmes target programmes etc. for large/ complex projects.
  • Manage project planning team including all 3rd party planners (JV Partners
  • SCs Design Teams etc.) to meet all project planning requirements.
  • Proactively provide feedback and contribute in the development of
  • company planning procedures
  • Implement and support the use of Last Planner system on projects
  • Regularly perform risk analysis using Primavera software and
  • Primavera very good skills
  • MS PowerPoint very good
  • Primavera Risk Analysis
