As an Accounting Analyst you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. You will collaborate with various departments to analyze costs investigate accounting irregularities and contribute to the enhancement of our internal processes. Additionally you will assist in preparing financial reports supporting audits and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cost analysis and investigate accounting irregularities providing timely reports to management.
- Collaborate with the Production Department to review monthly plant expenses.
- Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve variances.
- Support annual external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Assist in the development of internal policies and procedures.
- Liaise with IT teams to implement improvements to the accounting system.
- Review and audit internal payment requests for accuracy and documentation.
- Provide support for income and other tax filings.
- Assist in monthend closing activities.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.
Qualifications:
- Strong critical thinking skills and understanding of basic accounting concepts.
- Indepth knowledge of US GAAP.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- Ability to quickly learn industryrelated regulations and apply them effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present reports to management.
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance business or related field.
- 4 to 6 years of fulltime accounting experience.
- CPA designation preferred.
