Production Planner

We are in search of a skilled Production Planner to oversee the creation and scheduling of orders for manufacturing parts and assemblies. In this position you will be responsible for allocating materials and resources and providing accurate lead times to ensure prompt delivery of all parts and assemblies.

Your main duties will include developing organizing and delivering work orders and job packs efficiently and precisely while following appropriate batch sizes and customer agreements. Your role will play a critical part in maintaining smooth production processes that align with our clients high standards.

Collaboration with the Production Sales Logistics and Quality teams will be essential to ensure that all tasks are completed and dispatched within set deadlines and quality benchmarks. Additionally you will act as the main point of contact for internal sales and logistics teams regarding enquiries about deliveries and planning. The Role:

• Organize and track all orders to meet agreed delivery deadlines
• Raising works orders according to system outputs and contractual agreements
• Communicate and address any unrealistic requirements as soon as possible.
• Collaborate with members of the Production team to oversee production tasks and optimise the use of resources.
• Review production plans to identify and report potential risks to Production team and Management.
• First point of contact for any enquiries regarding the status of sales or work orders.
• Plan resources to ensure works order due date adherence.
• Coordinate and oversee the movement of materials and work orders to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Evaluate work orders and update systems to prioritise and schedule tasks according to sales orders.
• Analyse and provide feedback on production processes to enhance efficiency continuously.
• Handle customer schedule demands by taking necessary actions with a primary emphasis on timeliness precision and communication.

The Person:

We are seeking a skilled individual with experience in production planning and scheduling within a fastpaced engineering environment. The ideal candidate will be an advanced Excel user and possess strong communication skills both verbal and written. Additionally the ability to interpret engineering drawings and a solid understanding of MRP and manufacturing planning techniques are essential for this role.

• Hours of work MonThurs 8.30 to 4.30
