The Admission Counselor is responsible for recruiting advising and enrolling prospective students into the college/university programs. This role requires extensive travel the ability to develop and nurture relationships with high schools community colleges prospective students and their families as well as a commitment to meeting enrollment targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment:
- Represent the institution at high school visits college fairs and other recruitment events.
- Conduct presentations and information sessions for prospective students and their families.
- Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors community college advisors and other influencers.
- Organize and participate in oncampus recruitment events including open houses and campus tours.
- Advising:
- Provide oneonone admissions counseling to prospective students and families both inperson and virtually.
- Assist students in understanding the admissions process program options and financial aid opportunities.
- Evaluate prospective students applications and provide recommendations for admission.
- Enrollment:
- Manage a defined recruitment territory including data tracking and analysis of recruitment activities.
- Work collaboratively with the marketing team to develop targeted recruitment materials and campaigns.
- Follow up with admitted students to ensure they complete the enrollment process.
- Achieve enrollment targets set by the Director of Admissions.
- Administrative:
- Maintain accurate records of all recruitment and counseling activities in the admissions database.
- Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities and outcomes.
- Stay current on institutional policies admissions requirements and academic programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree required; Master s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in admissions student recruitment or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal public speaking and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver s license.

- Knowledge of financial aid processes and resources.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel frequently by car air or other modes of transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry recruitment materials and equipment (up to 25 pounds).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
