AAS French Teacher

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging French language lesson plans
• Evaluate and grade students class work assignments and papers
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents
• Monitor and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop comprehensive educational programs
• Participate in and organize extracurricular activities such as language clubs or cultural events
• Integrate technology into the teaching process
• Provide support to students with individual learning needs
• Stay updated on developments and trends in language teaching and learning
• Communicate effectively with parents colleagues and other stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in French or related field
• Teaching certification or qualification
• Demonstrated fluency in written and spoken French
• Proven experience in teaching French at the A/AS level
• Ability to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment
• Knowledge of instructional methods appropriate for diverse student populations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Cultural competence and understanding of French culture
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to the needs of individual students
• Experience in integrating technology into language instruction
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
• Understanding of assessment and feedback principles
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
• Legal authorization to work as a teacher in the specified location
