Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Developing a comprehensive sports program aligned with the IB IGCSE and ICSE curriculums
• Leading and supervising sports coaches and staff
• Organizing and overseeing sporting events tournaments and interschool competitions
• Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards in sports activities
• Collaborating with academic staff to integrate sports and physical education into the overall educational experience
• Assessing and evaluating the performance and progress of sports programs
• Managing the sports budget and resources efficiently
• Implementing initiatives to promote a culture of health and wellbeing through sports
• Maintaining records and documentation related to sports activities
• Providing guidance and counseling to student athletes
• Participating in professional development and staying updated on sports and wellness trends
• Engaging with parents and the wider community to promote sports involvement
• Developing partnerships with sports organizations and agencies
• Contributing to the overall educational and extracurricular strategy of the school
• Participating in school leadership and management activities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Sports Management Physical Education or a related field
• Proven experience in coaching and managing sports programs
• Demonstrated understanding of the IB IGCSE and ICSE curriculums
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities
• Knowledge of regulations and safety standards in sports
• Ability to create and implement effective sports training and development programs
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in budget management and resource allocation
• Strong commitment to promoting holistic student development through sports
• Relevant certifications in coaching and sports administration
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in sports and wellness
