Coating Inspector

Key Accountabilities: • Conduct regular inspections of the shipbuilding production of the vessel(s) under construction at the shipbuilding site. With specific focus to hull protection matters such as steel surface preparation, coatings applications, film thickness gauging, fitting of corrosion reducing appliances such as ICCP and zinc anodes, and other related items as assigned by the Site Lead. • Ensure that the shipbuilder's efforts fully meet the expectations of the shareholders and are in accordance with the Shipbuilding Contract Agreement, specifications, approved plans, and the various memorandums of agreement. • Attend to all scheduled inspections, tests, demonstrations, and trials in accordance with the shipbuilder’s published schedule and as assigned in the scope of work. • Coordinate inspections with other Inspectors as may be required. • Ensure that all shareholder SHES policies are fully implemented and adhered to and bring all areas of concern to the immediate attention of the Safety Coordinator and the Site Team Manager. • Coordinate work to bring each vessel into service for timely delivery.
