Our client is seeking a fulltime Paralegal with a minimum of five years civil litigation experience to join our busy team!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This is currently a hybrid position requiring three days in office and two days remote per week.
Responsibilities
- Document production document review
- Legal research legal terminology
- Investigationvarious to include location of witnesses
- Deposition digesting
- Summaries (discovery answers medical records testimony etc.)
- Preparation of: witness binders for deposition or trial medical summaries chronologies
- Trial and deposition preparation skills
- Discovery: prepare interrogatories and request for production of documents
- Prepare various motions to include Motions to Compel Motions for Sanctions
- Assist in preparation of trial motions to include settlement memorandums pretrial memorandum for witness and exhibit lists
- Medical records: requesting reviewing for relevant injuries past medical history
- Obtaining information regarding plaintiffs injuries including prior accidents
- Subpoena knowledge use of record procurement companies
- Coordination the release of information by federal state and local governmental agencies
- Title searching reviewing land documents to ascertain title and related information
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies or a Paralegal Certificate
- Excellent organizational time management research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Selfmotivated selfstarter who can work independently and effectively on a team
- Billing knowledge and ability to meet billable requirements of 1500 hrs. annually
- Ability to work overtime as needed

- Proficiency with case management and document review software
- Experience in personal injury litigation
- Experience in subpoena practice
- Experience with assigning incoming cases to the Paralegal team
