Job Description

A really great little branding agency is looking for a Brand Strategist to join their team. All their clients are international and they have a very high standard of work. This is a great opportunity to grow your portfolio and join a team of fabulous human beings.

Work model: Remote (can be based anywhere in South Africa). Need to be able to legally work in SA to be considered.
Salary: R30kR40k CTC

Requirements:

  • You are insatiably curious.
  • Have 2–3 years’ experience in a brand strategy or marketing role with excellent written verbal and presentation skills.
  • Enjoy learning from people who have seen and done a lot.
  • Are a team player but are equally happy to take a piece of work from brief to presentation on your own if needed.
  • Can handle highpressure periods without breaking down.
  • Have a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Have a bachelor's degree in marketing communication or branding (unless your skills are exceptional in which case we can discuss it).

What you’ll do:

  • Research current market trends and predict future trends that might affect a client’s product or service.
  • Perform target audience research.
  • Interview clients and their stakeholders.
  • Develop and present brand strategies in line with our client’s strategy framework.
  • Develop key brand messaging from the brand strategy.
  • Research and brainstorm brand names.
  • Contribute to the brand identity development from the creative teams.
  • Interact with clients facetoface via Zoom in writing and by telephone.
  • Develop consistent content for our client’s marketing including the podcast blog and social media platforms.
  • Research to identify competitors and their strengths or weaknesses.

  • Guide juniors and external resources.
  • Proactively identify revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain a high level of selfquality control.
  • Perform other duties as defined by management.
