Job Description

Position: Assembler
Location: Milford NH 03055
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Shift Time: 6:30 AM 2:30 PM (Monday Friday)
Pay Rate: $17 hourly

Summary:

The Assembler will perform diversified mechanical bench assembly operations to build large and small components according to precise specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly rework and inspection in the production of finished products.
  • Utilize hand tools fixtures pneumatics manual presses and power tools for component assembly.
  • Follow verbal and documented work instructions bill of materials guidelines complex assembly drawings and blueprints.
  • Use precision measuring instruments gauging devices and test equipment to verify assembly function and operation.
  • Maintain control of materials needed for the department.
  • Identify ways to improve productivity quality and safety.
  • Clean equipment and work area.
  • Adhere to established procedures quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Work under supervision and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Special Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 13 years of manufacturing experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Versatility to perform various assembly and soldering operations manually.
  • Reasonable dexterity in hands for manipulating small parts.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Basic computer skills.

Additional Characteristics:

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift 2050 lbs. occasionally 1025 lbs. frequently and up to 10 lbs. constantly.
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods up to 8 hours per day.
  • Good manual dexterity and visual acuity.
  • Use of various equipment including hand tools and calibrated measuring equipment such as calipers plug gauges drop indicators force gauges torque measuring screwdrivers oscilloscope dial gauges torque wrenches micrometers and specialized manufacturing measuring equipment.
  • Possible exposure to various industrial cleaning chemicals and oils.
