Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing complex financial tasks ensuring compliance with regulations and providing critical support to the financial operations of the company. This role involves handling general ledger entries preparing financial statements and performing detailed financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills a thorough understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. General Ledger Management:

    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
    • Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate and timely monthend closing.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
  2. Financial Reporting and Analysis:

    • Analyze financial data and create detailed financial reports.
    • Identify trends variances and discrepancies and provide actionable insights.
    • Prepare budgets and forecasts in collaboration with other departments.
  3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    • Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
    • Ensure timely and accurate payment processing and collection activities.
    • Perform regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  4. Compliance and Auditing:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
    • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
  5. Process Improvement:

    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in accounting procedures.
    • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Support to the Finance Team:

    • Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff.
    • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.
    • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 35 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
    • Proven experience with general ledger functions and financial reporting.
