Job Description

Position: Engineering Manager Aerospace Manufacturing: Tulsa OK or Wichita KS

Role Impact:

As an Engineering Manager reporting to the Site General Manager you'll be a vital part of our site management team. You will oversee the planning and engineering functions in our 24/7 aerospace manufacturing facility ensuring efficient daily operations and the development of manufacturing plans for aerospace components and assemblies. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining engineering drawings supplier and customer configurations and overseeing ERP system planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and approve manufacturing plans in coordination with CNC programming and functional teams.
  • Ensure thorough configuration management throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Review and distribute customer engineering quality requirements and configuration plans.
  • Maintain and interpret customer engineering datasets and manage engineering changes in the ERP system.
  • Provide technical support to production program management procurement and quality teams.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement plans within the engineering/planning department.
  • Manage and develop the engineering team including performance management and career development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in planning and engineering for manufacturing operations.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AS9100 FAA standards and federal regulations.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints sketches and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of configuration management principles and processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Infor Visual preferred) and engineering drafting/modeling software (Catia V5CAD/CAM preferred).
