Role: Cable Technician
Location: Athens GA
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Low voltage structured cabling across a variety of platforms including data centers banking financial and manufacturing/distribution environments.
- Copper Cabling Roughin terminate and test 4pair (CAT5eCAT6) and multipair cabling.
- Fiber Cabling Roughin terminate and test fiber utilizing SC/LC connectors fusion splicing ability required.
- Circuit Extension T1 DS3 POTs.
- Reading and executing customer specification manuals to perform installation as detailed.
- Following Architectural/Engineered drawings.
- Working knowledge of testing Copper and Fiber (MM and SM) using Fluke DTX Testing equipment.
- Leading a team on daily objectives.
- Travel: Must be willing to travel as necessary.
Qualified applicants will have the following qualifications:
- 35 years structured cabling leadership experience.
- Experience in largescale rollouts commercial building construction and the ability to work with a General Contractor.
- Working knowledge of testing Copper and Fiber (MM and SM) using Fluke DTX Testing equipment.
- Experience working with wireless sound masking access control A/V etc.
- Customer service experience.
Preferred qualifications include:
- BICSI Certification a plus.
- Manufacturer certifications desired.
