Job Description
- Receive incoming shipments of merchandise and verify contents against purchase orders
- Organize and store merchandise in designated areas
- Keep accurate records of received items and update inventory systems
- Inspect incoming shipments for damages and discrepancies
- Assist in unloading and loading trucks with merchandise
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the receiving area
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to the relevant supervisor
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a stocker or in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical condition to handle lifting and moving of heavy items
- Basic computer skills for updating inventory systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
