SAS Specialist - Brussels - 12-month contract

• You identify and document clients needs for the reports and dashboards under your responsibility.
  
  
• You frequently interact with the different departments with their respective managers.
  
  
• You have a more than adequate knowledge of accounting and tax law and you are willing to adapt to the changing financial legislation.
  
  
• You are interested in transport plans plannings for the maintenance of machines and infrastructure and human resources with regard to work schemes. You are also willing to keep up with the latest evolution in transport (both on the local and the international level).
  
  
• You translate those needs into concrete functional specifications for specific reporting purposes in an existing SAS environment (SAS Eguide SAS Base).
  
  
• You deliver input and provide suggestions concerning reporting techniques to the business by means of mockups POCs and best practices.
  
  
• You validate the reports and dashboards developed by an internal or external developer.
  
  
• You document the solutions and keep the documentation up to date.
  
  
• You regularly consult with users providers and other stakeholder to be able to draw up and manage the necessary roadmaps (enhancements bugs incidents).
  
  
• As an expert of the applications reports and dashboards you manage you are the contact point for colleagues and business stakeholders.
  
  
• You constantly ensure the coherence with existing business and solution architecture and consult with the Enterprise System and Solution Architects if need be.
  
  
• You take part in the development of test scenarios functional tests and data cleaning.
  
  
• You manage the complete SAS infrastructure and you ensure that it is up and running and working in optimal performant conditions.
  
  
• You carry out monthly closing processes which can be used as input for the sales reconciliation and which are reported to the FPS.
  
  
• You follow up on daily processes which ensure the data quality for 40 legacy applications with regard to train planning.
  
  
• You develop new processes to comply with changes in the legacy applications.
  
  
• You assist service desk collaborators with SAS specific issues and act as secondline support for SAS specific issues.
  
  

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in a similar position (Application Owner Functional Analyst ...)
  
  
• Thorough knowledge of SAS programming I II and III SAS Macros SAS Special Techniques and SAS Administration (with certificate)
  
  
• Knowledge of and experience with Agile Scrum
  
  
• Knowledge of different analysis techniques (use cases drawing up scenarios...)
  
  
• Good knowledge of Dutch French and English in speaking and writing
  
  
• Good communication skills
  
  
• Methodical accurate and with an eye for detail
  
  
• Proactive highly solution driven and handson organised
  
  
• Autonomous providing regular feedback to business and team lead
  
  
• Stress resistant and capable of working under time pressure
