Job purpose:

Providing legal advice across all relevant areas, with a focus on insurance matters to support the business stakeholders across the Gulf Region

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal advice across all relevant areas, with a focus on insurance matters to support the business stakeholders across the Gulf Region (Bahrain, UAE, Oman and Qatar)
  • Drafting, negotiating and amending a wide and varied range of commercial agreements, including IT, outsourcing, employees’ contracts, marketing agreements and insurance-specific commercial agreements
  • Supporting the business in following the right legal contracting compliance procedures, to ensure effective contracting, procurement and negotiation
  • Advising internal departments on various agreements/transactions with providers
  • Assessing the business and/or revenue risk in all transactions considered by the company
  • Ensuring management’s compliance with board/delegated authority
  • Advise the internal and external stakeholders on new Laws and local requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law
  • 10 years of experience
  • Insurance industry experience in the GCC is a must
  • Knowledge on General Insurance, Health Insurance and Labor Laws
  • Fluency in both English & Arabic languages
  • Solid team management skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to interact in autonomy with Directors and Excom members
