General Ledger Accountant with German

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Entering financial data and transactions into the ledger
• Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts
• Analyzing financial data and providing financial recommendations
• Generation of financial reports
• Monthly reporting of taxes and collection of fiscal documents
• Supporting the annual statutory audit
• Solving complex problems in AP and AR
• Collaborating with other departmentsto complete accurate records and provide accounting support

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• Working experience in accounting environment for at least 3 years
• Working experience in General ledger accounting
• Knowledge in German local GAAP (HGB) is a plus
• German and English skills at B2 level
  
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel and experience with an accounting software program
• Ability to work independently and remotely
  
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
