Job Description
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices payments and receipts.
Prepare and review financial statements reports and budgets for accuracy and completeness.
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts credit cards and other financial accounts.
Assist in the preparation of monthend and yearend financial reports.
Maintain and update accounting records and files in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Support financial audits and tax filings ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.
Provide support to other departments on financial matters and participate in crossfunctional projects as needed.
Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Proven work experience as a General Accountant preferably in a startup environment or fintech industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles practices and procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero Odoo) and MS Office particularly Excel.
Experience with financial reporting and financial statements.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
CIA or other relevant certification is a plus.
