Role Purpose
The manager shall manage the daytoday inventory management and store operations of the institute. He/she shall be responsible for overseeing the stores of the institute and lead the team toward maximum productivity and efficiency in pursuit of its target goals.

Educational Qualification and Experience
Graduate in any branch of engineering/technology or any equivalent branch as laid down in AICTE1 from a recognized university/institute.
Postgraduate degree/postgraduate diploma in business administration.
Minimum 8 years of work experience in admission management and placement in a large educational/academic/TVET institution
KeyAreas of Responsibility and Accountability
1. Strategic Direction and Administration of the Department
Support the Director Facilities in planning and establishment of shortterm and longterm goals strategy and operational plan for the management of the hostels based on financial and operations data
Support the Director Facilities in planning store activities and allocating fiscal operating and capital budget expenses and resources effectively
Support the Director in establishing key performance indicators controls and feedback systems to monitor the operations of the Department.
Developing an annual work plan for teams overseeing their successful completion and review
Any other work/task assigned by the Competent Authority
2. Storekeeping
Identify the sources of supply for various types of materials with the Procurement Department
Oversee the receipt upload and shelfing of all supplies carefully after ensuring appropriate quantity and quality from the suppliers as per contract
Verify the stock periodically and ensure submission of various reports to various authorities at appropriate time.
Perform stockrelated duties like returning packing labelling
Report damaged/defective inventory for record keeping and reimbursement
Rotate stock and dispose of surplus and expired quantities
3. Team Development
Support the recruitment selection and onboarding of the staff to develop a competent team
Manage employees and ensure that the team complies with the service rules and regulations and adhere to the discipline conduct and related employee guidelines defined
Identify capacity gaps and provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition rewards and disciplinary action with the assistance of Human Resources Department;
Plan and undertake regular capacity development of the team with the help of the Human Resources Team to ensure personal growth opportunities for the team;
Ensures a safe secure and legal work environment
