As a Machine Operator you will be the key individual responsible for the setup and production of customer orders ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards. Your role will involve operating and maintaining thermoforming machines producing molded plastic parts and troubleshooting machinerelated issues.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate thermoforming machines according to established specifications.
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with customer requirements for quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance.
- Clean and maintain machines to ensure smooth operation and prevent downtime.
- Load raw materials into machines and handle material identification and inventory management.
- Replenish stock accordingly.
- Use measurements tools such as calipers micrometers and gauges to test product.
- Utilize process setup sheets and computer systems to input changes and track production data.
- Produce molded plastic parts by adjusting cycle times and other parameters as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations at all times.
Skills/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a machine operator preferably in metals or plastics manufacturing.
- Knowledge of thermoforming machine setup operation and maintenance procedures.
- Must have experience using calipers and micrometers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
