Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to handle all aspects of our companys financial record keeping and reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive bookkeeping experience excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to financial management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the general ledger including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and process payroll in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial reports.
  • Handle monthend and yearend closing processes.
  • Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns including sales tax and payroll taxes.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Conduct periodic audits of the general ledger and financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Oversee and support daytoday accounting operations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • 3 years of full charge bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero) and Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with payroll processing and tax filings.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
