Position Overview:
We are looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper to handle all aspects of our companys financial record keeping and reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive bookkeeping experience excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to financial management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the general ledger including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and process payroll in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly.
- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare financial reports.
- Handle monthend and yearend closing processes.
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns including sales tax and payroll taxes.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Conduct periodic audits of the general ledger and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
- Oversee and support daytoday accounting operations.
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- 3 years of full charge bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero) and Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with payroll processing and tax filings.
- Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
