Job Description

Headquartered in Tokyo Japan Evident employs around 4500 people at a total of 57 locations worldwide. Evident Europe headquartered in Hamburg Germany employs approximately 770 people in 16 countries. The product portfolio includes a wide range of microscope systems used in clinical diagnostics medical and basic research as well as in various industrial areas. In addition Evident offers videoscopes products for nondestructive testing techniques and for Xray fluorescence analysis.

Currently we are recruiting a Group Leader (m/f/d) Tender Management EMEA the position can be based in Europe (remote).

Tasks

The new centralized Tender Management Team will consist of experts in tender management who will have a deep technical understanding of our product portfolio paired with a good understanding of tender processes from allover Europe. As Group Leader (m/f/d) Tender Management EMEA you will be responsible of building a strong organisation and defining processes necessary to answer tenders in an autonomous way. As part of the sales organisation the Tender Management Team will work closely together with different departments within the European Life Science organisation including sales marketing service legal finance and local customer care departments. You and your team provide expert administrative and technical knowledge and are responsible in EMEA for managing all stages of the tender processes from screening for new tenders answering the tender documents (also technical response) and following the whole tender process until it is awarded and beyond if necessary. The following activities among others will be in your responsibility and help you to achieve your goals:

  • Europewide screening for tenders (together with local Customer Care teams).
  • Take ownership and full responsibility for the tender process (including filling all administrative AND technical documents sending our response in time and monitoring the progress).
  • Maintaining and keeping up to date a database of local administrative and company related documents.
  • Keep up to date and create standardized tender response forms for all relevant products (incl. service documents)..
  • Track won/lost tenders in Salesforce.
  • Observe competitors behaviour in tender processes (regarding pricing USP used by competitors etc.) and feed back learnings to sales and marketing teams so that they can use it to improve the sales plays and focus on right tactics in the sales process.
  • Post awarding: Fill in administrative documents and solve all other possible open tasks (i.e. bank guarantees payment of fees etc.).
  • Organize T&C and other legal checks with local legal partners if necessary.
  • if required organize a translation of our response in local language.

Requirements

  • University degree in Biology Chemistry Biotechnology /Engineering or similar is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in (international) tender management
  • Proven track record in Sales Application or Product Support for advanced microscopy systems
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent English communication skills any other language (Italian French Spanish Dutch and others) will be an advantage.
  • Highly motivated character eager to work in an international environment.
  • Home Office based worker (in Europe)
