Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Writer/ Engineer (m/w/d) with skills in cloudnative PaaS platform for our customer in Berlin and. We are seeking an experienced and passionate technical writer to join our international team. You will be part
of the EDP Product Management organization consisting of Product Managers Product Owners Customer
Success engineers and customerfacing Documentation team.
You will be reporting to Customer Success Lead for the EDP Platform and work very closely with:
o EDP Customers as the first point of contact to ensure that customers can attain their desired outcome
when interacting with EDP Documentation.
o Product Owners who are responsible for the definition and evolution of products under their
responsibility.
o Technical members of EDP Development/QA teams and EDP Product team to learn how to use EDP
features for specific use cases.
The position requires:
o Product mindset (customer obsession customer value delivery timetomarket etc.)
o Collaborative but at the same time an assertive mindset (Get stuff done)
o Handson knowledge of working with Kubernetes and declarative configurations
o Excellent English writing skills you will be responsible for writing and editing the Customer facing
documentation (elaborated in the next section)

Your tasks
In this role you will collaborate closely with various teams including EDP Customers EDP Technical teams and the Product Management organization. You will be the primary point of contact for EDP Customer Facing Documentation and will be responsible for ensuring that all user documentation is comprehensive uptodate and userfriendly.
XXX Customer Facing Documentation:
Act as the primary contact for EDP customerfacing documentation within EDP.
Write publish and maintain customerfacing technical documents such as EDP Service descriptions User How to Guides and reference manuals.
Understand and address user needs creating documents with the appropriate level of detail to facilitate user adoption and effective use of EDP as a platform.
Gather and integrate information from technical members of EDP Development/QA teams and the EDP Product team to accurately document how to use EDP features for specific use cases.
Engage handson with the product to understand its usage and verify the accuracy of how to guides and other documentation.
XXX Planning and Coordination:
Create plans for documentation deliverables ensuring that timelines and deadlines are clearly defined and met.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and feedback fordocumentation.
Manage documentation deliverables from inception through completion ensuring highquality deliverables that meet user needs and organizational standards.
XXX UserCentric Documentation Development:
Develop userfriendly content that is easy to understand and navigate catering to various levels of technical expertise.
Regularly update documentation to reflect new features changes and improvements in the EDP platform.
Implement best practices for documentation including the use of templates style guides and version control.
XXX Quality Assurance:
Perform usability testing of documentation with real users to identify areas for improvement.
Ensure that all documentation is compliant with industry standards and organizational policies.

Must have competences
A minimum experience of 3 years as a technical writer preferably writing customerfacing documentation
General familiarity of Cloud Native service offerings especially those related to:
Managed Kubernetes service (at least one of AKS GKE EKS Rancher)
DevOps services (CI/CD ArgoCD Gitlab Secrets Management Image Registry etc.)
Monitoring (Prometheus Grafana ELK or similar)
Data Services (Databases Data Lakes DWHs Kafka or similar)
Strong technical background and understanding of technologies underpinning the cloud native services noted under Profile Requirements.
Excellent English verbal skills to succinctly communicate your point of view to an international team.
Fluent English in speech and writing (at least C1)
Must provide writing samples to be considered for interview.

Nice to have competences
Relevant certifications in cloud and cloud native technologies
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g. Scrum SAFE JIRA Confluence).
Optional: Fluent German in speech and writing (at least B2)

Ability to create visual content such as diagrams and screenshots to enhance documentation.

Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
