Job Description
Location: ACT NSW NT QLD SA TAS VIC WA Offsite
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline
Working arrangements
Office locations are: Adelaide Canberra Goondiwindi Griffith Mildura Murray Bridge Wodonga. Our preference is for employees to be working within an MDBA office we will consider other locations. The expectation is the need for this resource would be 3 days a week.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer for three days a week. The key responsibilities are:
- Azure Cloud Management:
- Provisioning and Configuration: Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment including provisioning configuration performance monitoring policy governance and security.
- Highly Available Solutions: Design develop and implement highly available multiregion solutions within Microsoft Azure.
- Process Improvement: Analyze existing operational standards processes and governance to identify and implement improvements.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop IaC using cloudnative tools for automated and consistent platform deployments.
- Data Protection Best Practices: Implement policydriven data protection practices to safeguard cloud solutions from data loss.
- Application Transformation: Support the cloud adoption of applications as they are transformed and modernized.
- Provisioning and Configuration: Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment including provisioning configuration performance monitoring policy governance and security.
- Infrastructure Skills:
- Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards.

- Junior Engineer Guidance: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior cloud engineers.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share best practices architectural patterns and lessons learned.
- Code Reviews: Review code and provide constructive feedback.
- Career Development: Assist junior engineers in their professional growth and skill development.

Requirements
Essential criteria
1. Azure Experience: 2 years of handson experience with Microsoft Azure including design deployment configuration and optimisation.
2. IaaS and PaaS: Familiarity with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions and experience working within an Agile framework.
3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in IaC development using tools like Terraform Azure CLI Puppet and Ansible and scripting skills in Perl Python and PowerShell.
4. Source Code Management: Proficient with GIT for source code management and familiarity with Azure DevOps.
5. Broad IT Skills: Competence in networking systems administration data protection information security and CI/CD tooling and Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
