Job Description

Our client based in the Goldfields region is currently seeking an experienced Open Pit Trainer to join their team. The position offers an 8/6 roster with FIFO arrangements from Perth.

Primary Role:
The primary responsibility of the Open Pit Trainer is to deliver training and development programs to staff members within the Open Pit Department.

  • Roster: 8/6 FIFO (TuesdayTuesday) in the Goldfields
  • Equipment Experience: CAT 789s Liebherr Digger



Requirements

Qualifications Required:
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Extensive experience in open pit mining
  • Senior First Aid Certificate (Minimum requirement)
  • Valid "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the mining industry with a focus on open pit operations
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Power Point
  • Strong communication skillsDemonstrated ability to uphold or surpass industry standards in environmental practices
  • Ability to adapt to new procedures and practices effectively
  • Familiarity with the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
  • Review and provide onsite training for staff members
  • Manage training matrix data
  • Develop training materials as needed to ensure compliance
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions following training standards and sitespecific plans
  • Conduct field observations to assess the performance of operational procedures
  • Proficient in operating different mobile plant and equipment
  • Establish and maintain the InTuition training management system to uphold accurate training records
  • Possess proven experience in an mining production training role

Desired Experience & Competencies:

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the mining industry predominantly in open pit
  • Computer literacy Microsoft Office Word and Power Point.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain or exceed best industry practice in all environmental tasks.
  • Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
  • Awareness of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
