Job Description

TPF Recruitment the leading provider of accountancy practice professionals is currently supporting one of their clients located in Brighton with the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant Manager.

As an Accounts Assistant Manager you will oversee support and develop a diverse client portfolio. In this role you will ensure client satisfaction and optimize fee levels. You will also play a crucial role in managing and supporting the office team including work allocation and team training.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Client Accounts Management: Plan and prioritize client accounts work establishing the scope and budget for each project. Ensure the team is adequately briefed and trained.
  • Preparation and Delegation: Handle key client accounts work and delegate tasks as necessary.
  • Supervision and Communication: Monitor the progress of work and maintain effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders providing regular updates.
  • Advisory Work: Prepare and review management accounts cash flow forecasts and VAT returns.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee timely billing workinprogress (WIP) reviews and debtor collection.
  • Client Relationships: Work directly with clients to strengthen relationships and expand advisory services.
  • Networking: Represent the firm at local networking events to enhance our profile.


Requirements


  • Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Skills: Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to changing demands.
  • Personality: Inquisitive nature team player who enjoys being part of a friendly and social team but can work independently when required.

Working Pattern: Fulltime with hybrid working available (Maximum of 2 days from home)
