Nursery Room Leader

At PeekaBoo Nursery we are looking for a Head of Room for our busy Toddler room you will be supporting a large team and will be kept very busy with our lively Toddlers. We offer a 38 hr working week with salary up to 27500 depending on experience lots of great benefits an introductory bonus as well as opportunities for future career progression.

Peekaboo Nursery school is based in the Barnton area of Edinburgh and is part of CC Nurseries. Our beautiful 84 place setting is in beautiful surroundings close to local forests and Cramond beach. PeekaBoo offers a homefromhome environment led by our passionate and caring team our nursery is filled with handpicked resources (natural where possible) to encourage selfdirected play and discovery. Requirements

As Head of Room you will:

Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences environments and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development

Enhance the allaround daily needs of children including their physical intellectual social and emotional development

Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency

Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child staff parent and visitor always

Understand and ensure that the requirements of the Curriculum for Excellence are met

Qualified in Early Years with a minimum of 3 years working in a Nursery Setting.

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor always Work within a team to support all children and team members within your room Lead and support your team together with supporting their training needs to ensure best practice at all times Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met Qualified level 3 or above, with at least 3 years experience of working in a Nursery and at least 1 year's experience of leading a team.
