Job Overview: As the Site Head for the Gond Bahera Ujheni East Coal Mining Business Unit will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mining operations ensuring adherence to safety protocols maximizing productivity and driving strategic initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership:
Lead and manage all operational activities at the Gond Bahera Ujheni East coal mining site ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
and company policies.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance production efficiency costeffectiveness and quality control measures.
2. Safety and Environmental Compliance:
Champion a culture of safety excellence by implementing and monitoring robust safety protocols and procedures.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and drive initiatives for sustainable mining practices.
3. Stakeholder Management:
Foster positive relationships with local communities government authorities and other stakeholders to promote social license and
support for mining operations.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address concerns mitigate risks and optimize operational synergies.
4. Team Leadership and Development:
Provide strong leadership to the site team fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
Mentor and develop talent within the team identifying training needs and opportunities for skills enhancement.
5. Budgeting and Cost Management:
Develop annual operating budgets and capital expenditure plans in alignment with business objectives.
Monitor and control costs effectively to ensure operational efficiency and budgetary compliance.
6. Risk Management:
Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard personnel equipment and assets.
Proactively address challenges and implement contingency plans to minimize disruptions to mining activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 12 years of experience in coal mining operations with significant exposure to opencast mining techniques.
Proven track record of leadership in managing largescale mining operations preferably in a managerial capacity.
Strong understanding of safety regulations environmental compliance standards and best practices in the mining industry.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Sound financial acumen and experience in budgeting cost management and financial analysis.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams drive performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
