Overview

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose ocular diseases and conditions.
• Perform surgeries such as cataract surgery LASIK and other corrective procedures.
• Prescribe and administer appropriate medical treatments and medications.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient medical records and treatment plans.
• Provide pre and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgeries.
• Educate patients on eye health disease prevention and treatment options.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide integrated patient care.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology and incorporate best practices into patient care.
• Participate in departmental meetings research and continuous education activities.
• Adhere to all clinical and ethical guidelines in patient care and medical practice.

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree in Ophthalmology.
• Board certification in Ophthalmology.
• Valid state medical license to practice as an Ophthalmologist in Mumbai.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Ophthalmology preferably in an outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing various ophthalmic surgical procedures.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
• Commitment to upholding high standards of patient care and safety.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical software.
