Job Summary:
The Accounting Coordinator supports the accounting department by performing a variety of accounting duties. This role involves handling daily financial transactions maintaining accurate financial records assisting with monthend and yearend closing processes and providing administrative support to ensure efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Transactions:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Verify allocate and post details of business transactions to appropriate accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records.
- Ensure all financial data is entered accurately into the accounting system.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports budgets and statements.
- MonthEnd and YearEnd Closing:
- Assist with the preparation of monthend and yearend closing processes.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Auditing and Compliance:
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Monitor and report any inconsistencies or violations.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department including filing scanning and managing correspondence.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
- Communication:
- Communicate with vendors clients and internal staff regarding financial transactions and inquiries.
- Address and resolve any issues related to financial transactions and records.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 23 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
