Job Description

Job Summary:

The RV & Remarketing Manager (UK) is responsible for the remarketing of company used vehicles primarily to the BYD retailer network in the UK and maximising BYD UKs RV position. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments product finance sales aftersales and also external companies in the fleet sales and remarketing sectors.

This is a new position and affords the opportunity to shape the role from the ground up. The position is based in London (Uxbridge).

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Develop a processled solution for the defleet preparation and resale of excompany vehicles to our target buyers
  2. Develop in conjunction with the European remarketing function a BYD Approved Used retail proposition and implement it across the UK BYD retailer network
  3. Build robust and effective relationships with the major used vehicle buyers within the BYD retailer network and external remarketing services providers
  4. Manage the defleet of excompany vehicles and inventory at each stage of the remarketing process working collaboratively with key external suppliers in the logistics inspection vehicle preparation and resale stages
  5. Develop and implement BYD vehcile repatriation strategies with the major leasing companies and the BYD retailer network
  6. Participate in used vehicle residual value and fleet events building relationships with the key industry stakeholders to influence and strengthen our remarketing credentials and support strong RVs
  7. Educate and coach colleagues on the importance of remarketing and strong RVs in our TCO competitiveness and work collaboratively with the European RV & TCO Management team
  8. Manage the influential RV setters and data providers establishing strong and constructive relationships to help optimise BYDs RV position
  9. Support the International Key Accounts team and national fleet sales team in remarketing advice and recommendations to help win sales opportunities
  10. Collect and analyse market data monitor remarketing performance and market feedback of competitor programmes (that are in the public domain) prepare reports and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of our remarketing and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in remarketing management at an OEM leasing company or provider of remarketing services and solutions with a solid knowledge of the market regulations and best practices.
  2. Advanced project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks meet deadlines and possess above average decisionmaking and problemsolving abilities with a strong attention for detail.
  3. Excellent communication presentation and coordination skills with the ability to establish productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders with strong influencing skills.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software with the ability to conduct data analysis and report writing.
  5. The ability to communicate and articulate complex subjects in simple language that everyone can understand.
  6. Strong team collaboration and leadership abilities with the capacity to drive teams towards common goals and effectively coordinate and communicate in crossfunctional collaborations.
  7. A motivated selfstarter with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment where common sense and initiative are essential personal traits.
  8. Willingness to travel as required in the Uk and further afield as required.
