Job Title : Network Security Engineer

Job Type : C2C/1099

Experience: 815 Years

Location : Charlotte Maine North Carolina

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer who will be responsible for designing implementing managing and monitoring the security measures to protect network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of network protocols security systems and risk management.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience as a Network Security Engineer.
  • Experience with firewalls VPNs IDS/IPS and other security appliances.
  • Experience with cloud security (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
  • Experience with SIEM tools and log analysis.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP CISM CEH CCNP Security or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols architecture and security principles.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (Python PowerShell and SQL).
  • Design implement and manage network security measures for protecting data systems and networks.
  • Monitor network traffic for security events and anomalies and respond to potential threats promptly.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments penetration testing and risk assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Develop and maintain security policies procedures and documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure design and deployment of systems and applications.
  • Manage and configure security tools such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) VPNs and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
  • Perform regular security audits and generate reports for management.
  • Stay updated with the latest security trends vulnerabilities and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on network security best practices and protocols.

Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
