Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic Sales Director to spearhead our brand's expansion empowering individuals to take control of their emotional wellbeing through our unique products.

Emotional Utility Beverage (EUB)

Emotional Utility Beverage (EUB) beverages boost native nutrients in the brain while adding powerful external ones to help optimize the chemical messaging that impacts mood and cognition.

What You Will Do

The East Coast Sales Director is responsible for achieving the business targets in the territory. The role includes identifying pitching and securing strategic distributor broker and retail partners to increase sales and ACV of Emotional Utility Beverages as well as developing implementing measuring and optimizing promotional and trade marketing strategies (in collaboration with Marketing) for longterm brand growth.

Key KPIs:

  • Unit Sales and Units Per Store per Week We value velocity over doors and unit sales over dollar sales!
  • Sustainable Customer Profitability – Ideal candidate is customer P&L driven to ensure distribution is sustainable financially.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in the functional beverage category and will possess strong DSD Distributor Broadline Distributor (UNFI/KeHE) Foodservice and Grocery retailer relationships and experience in the territory. The ideal candidate should have strong financial and analytical skills and must be wellversed in sales reporting forecasting promotional planning and customer profitability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 yearsexperience strategically scaling a natural and / or premium functional beverage brand in a territory from $3 million $10 million with Natural Channel Premium Conventional Channel and Alternative Channel distribution. Greater consideration will be given to candidates who in addition to deep Natural Channel and premium Conventional Channel experience also have Alternative channel and Food Service Channel experience.
  • Minimum 8 years’ RECENT experience at a functional ReadytoDrink beverage.
  • Minimum 10 yearsexperience managing sales teams and territories.
  • Datadriven selling experience and expert ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
  • Successful track record leading sales within a highgrowth environment that meets or exceeds sales targets on a yearoveryear basis.
  • Eager to rollup their sleeves and hit the ground running in the trade if / when needed.
  • Excellent communicator who can express ideas clearly and concisely. Ability to adapt style to audience with effective active listening skills.
  • Above average fluency in Microsoft office suite particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to “be in the trade” a minimum of 24 days per week and travel to other key market locations for sales blitzes distributor and retailer events tradeshows etc. initially until broader East Coast EUB sales team is hired and fully onboarded.
  • Current and valid Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle with the ability to travel frequently.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively during the shift and to push and pull up to 100 lbs. during shift.
