We are looking for a IAM Operations Engineer (m/w/d) for our customer in Berlin.
The Operations Engineer for the IAM team will be responsible for highlevel troubleshooting efforts incident
response and complex operational support for our IAM infrastructure. This role involves deep technical
expertise in security protocols IAM solutions (including but not limited to Keycloak Active Directory and
OpenID Connect) and system integrations. The ideal candidate will work closely with technical teams and
business stakeholders to ensure IAM services perform optimally align with security policies and support the
organizations objectives. Key responsibilities include advanced incident management and proposing and
implementing enhancements to IAM services.

Your tasks
In the Operations Engineer role within the IAM team the targets include:
Incident Management Excellence: Spearhead advanced troubleshooting and incident response efforts for complex IAM issues ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact on business operations. Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce recurrence.
System Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance the IAM infrastructures performance reliability and security. Implement best practices and upgrades to ensure the IAM services meet current and future organizational needs.
Security and Compliance Leadership: Ensure IAM services adhere to the highest security standards and compliance requirements. Proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities enhancing the organizations defense against evolving cyber threats.
Strategic Contributions: Work closely with IAM architects and other stakeholders to strategize and implement longterm improvements in IAM practices. Influence the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that enhance identity management and access control.
Feedback Loop and Collaboration: Act as a critical link between operational challenges and the rest of the team by providing insightful feedback from incident management and troubleshooting activities. This involves documenting issues and solutions sharing lessons learned and collaborating on system enhancements to inform future development and improve the resilience and functionality of IAM solutions.

Must have competences
Proficiency in advanced troubleshooting and incident management for IAM systems.
Deep understanding of IAM principles security protocols (OIDC SAML OAuth LDAP) and compliance requirements
Experience with at least one major IAM solution preferably Keycloak and tools with the ability to configure manage and optimize these platforms.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills capable of conducting thorough root cause analysis.
Effective communication skills conveying technical issues and solutions clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions (even under pressure).
Fluent in Englisch (at least B2)

Nice to have competences
Experience with cloudbased IAM services (AWS IAM Azure AD Google Cloud IAM) and their integration into enterprise environments.
Experience with CI/CD helmcharts/terraform and general automation of setup and configuration of tooling to enhance IAM processes and workflows
Familiarity with advanced security concepts such as Zero Trust Architecture and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
Experience in implementing multifactor authentication (MFA) single signon (SSO) and identity federation solutions.
Project management skills and experience working in a scaled agile environment.
Fluent in German
Working with Scrum and general experience in agile frameworks
