Job Description

Our client is offering a signon bonus of up to $5000 for all new hires for our Maintenance Roles!

We are hiring immediately for Maintenance Technicians to help keep our plant running!

This location is part of our Prepared Foods Division. As a Maintenance Technician you will have the opportunity to work crossfunctionally across every area of our facility and influence company performance by maintaining our equipment. Our Maintenance Technicians are vital to maintaining our Team Member s safety through problem solving and proactive upkeep. We have a fastpaced work environment where every day is different and we invest in the continued growth and skills of our Maintenance Technicians. Come be part of our Team.

Pay is determined by experience and is paid weekly!

We have both Day and Night shift available!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic plant equipment.
  • Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
  • Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.
  • Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
  • Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience OR 1 year of industrial maintenance experience education (e.g. possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school) in lieu of experience
    • Applicants will be considered for Associate Maintenance Technicians General Maintenance Technicians and Sr Maintenance Technicians level openings
    • Leveling is determined during the interview process based on skillset knowledge and experience
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information processing daily work orders and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required

Special Skills:

  • Ability to lift push and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently
  • Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
  • Ability to work in confined and tall spaces walk climb utilize a ladder operate a lift bend and stoop
  • Repetitive gripping pushing and pulling
  • Frequent overhead work
  • Temperatures inside the plant may vary from 25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed
  • Basic math skills including percentages fractions and measurements

Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Paper Science, or a related field with at least five years of experience in the paper industry, including five years in leadership roles. Alternatively, over ten years of direct experience in paper production with at least five years in supervisory positions. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills, specifically related to the paper production process. Ability to set and achieve short-term and long-term strategic goals. Experience in mentoring and leading teams by example. Capacity to initiate and manage change for continuous performance improvement. Organizational skills and the ability to implement necessary changes based on business needs. In-depth knowledge of integrated mill operations. Proficiency in managing different levels of an operational area and engaging with various organizational levels. Experience with reliability and continuous improvement methods. Preferred: Experience in a unionized setting and familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kepner Tregoe, or similar analytical tools.
