Job Description

Job Description: Kitchen Assistant

Position: Kitchen Assistant
Location: Singapore
Pay: 166760 to 416900 per month
Job Type: Fulltime



Requirements

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to the daily menu and dietary requirements of residents.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen including washing dishes cleaning surfaces and disposing of waste.
  • Ensure that all food is stored correctly and useby dates are adhered to.
  • Help with the plating and serving of meals to residents ensuring portion control and presentation standards are met.
  • Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen supplies and deliveries.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures in the kitchen.
  • Support the head chef and other kitchen staff in daytoday kitchen operations.
  • Participate in the planning and preparation of special meals or events as required.
  • Monitor food stock levels and report any shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained in good working condition.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Skills Required:

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to highquality standards.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to handle kitchen equipment and tools safely.
