Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Aged Care
Job Description:
As a Personal Care Assistant you will be integral to ensuring the health safety and wellbeing of residents. By seeing each resident as an individual and supporting their choices and independence you will help to create a nurturing and empowering environment. Your role will involve assisting residents with their daily activities monitoring their needs and wellbeing and providing emotional and social support.
ROLE:
- Individualized Support: See each resident as an individual helping them make choices and be as independent as possible through personalized support and care.
- Daily Assistance: Assist residents throughout the day identifying changes in their preferences needs or wellbeing and seeking assistance if required.
- Activities of Daily Living: Support residents with personal hygiene grooming and oral care.
- Social and Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and engage residents in lifestyle activities to enhance their social wellbeing.
- Mobility and Meals: Help keep residents mobile and assist with meal delivery and feeding.
- Documentation and Safety: Complete incident reports maintain accurate care documentation and participate in Work Health Safety programs.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team to provide service excellence and make a significant difference in our community.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualifications: Cert III or higher in Individual Support or related studies such as nursing.
- Experience: Experience in a personal care role in aged care is desirable.
- Holistic Care Commitment: A commitment to a holistic care approach and supporting residents to achieve their goals and meet their needs.
- Nursing Students Encouraged: If you are currently studying a nursing degree and have completed an aged care clinical placement or have an overseas nursing qualification we encourage you to apply.
