The role serves as a key technical resource for the electrical engineering department reporting directly to the Department Manager and indirectly to the Engineering Manager. Responsibilities include managing and improving preventative maintenance (PM) programs collaborating with various teams to enhance safety procedures and production efficiency and overseeing the installation and maintenance of production line modifications and new equipment.

The role serves as a key technical resource for the electrical engineering department reporting directly to the Department Manager and indirectly to the Engineering Manager. Responsibilities include managing and improving preventative maintenance (PM) programs collaborating with various teams to enhance safety procedures and production efficiency and overseeing the installation and maintenance of production line modifications and new equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage departmental PM tasks for electricians and oversee electrical PM programs (e.g. motor and switchgear maintenance).
- Collaborate with department supervisors safety personnel and electricians to enhance safety protocols and energy control measures.
- Work with maintenance engineering and production teams to optimize equipment uptime and implement continuous improvement projects.
- Manage inventory and critical spares with Storeroom/Warehouse personnel and contribute to capital project equipment installations.
- Lead initiatives for training programs troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Design and procure parts for equipment modifications to meet production needs.
- Maintain and update CMM software (Fiix) and support lean manufacturing principles to achieve KPI targets.
Job Requirements:
- Electrical Engineering degree or related field with 25 years of experience.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting analytical skills and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience with inventory databases CMM systems and a strong safety orientation.
- Background in heavy industrial or automation environments and familiarity with OSHA ANSI RIA and NFPA standards.
- Knowledge of programming ABB drives AB/Rockwell and Siemens PLCs & drives OT network maintenance Redlion and PanelView HMI’s and Wonderware AVEVA.
