Job Description

Join Our Team as a Regulatory Director!

Are you passionate about transforming the future of energy Our client is looking for an innovative and driven Regulatory Director to lead the nuclear licensing process in the Netherlands. In this role you will report to the Global Head of Licensing and drive the advancement of micronuclear power projects contributing to nearterm decarbonization. While experience in the nuclear industry is a plus we value fresh perspectives and bold ideas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a licensing roadmap for the Netherlands with the ambitious goal of licensing a plant within two years.
  • Primary Contact: Serve as the main liaison between Last Energy and the Netherlands nuclear regulatory network including the Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ANVS) COVRA and other government bodies.
  • Regulatory Filings: Lead and ensure the quality of regulatory filings license applications and safety cases ensuring they are accurate complete and timely.
  • ThirdParty Management: Oversee Dutch thirdparty licensing firms managing budgets schedules and deliverable quality.
  • Issue Resolution: Monitor and address regulatory issues from internal and external stakeholders proactively identifying and mitigating regulatory risks.
  • Innovative Practices: Foster a culture of creativity challenging established norms and extreme ownership to develop an efficient regulatory practice.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in a relevant technical field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate with simplicity and clarity.
  • Project Management: Proven project management skills including managing thirdparty technical service providers.
  • Nuclear Knowledge: Strong understanding of nuclear safety principles risk assessment methodologies and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
  • Regulatory Approach: Alignment with Last Energy s simplified approach to regulatory compliance.
  • Professional Reputation: Highly regarded by peers in key stakeholder organizations.
