Job Description

Themis Recruit are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Solicitor with expertise in private law to join our dynamic legal practice. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of family law matters providing highquality legal advice and representation to clients. This role demands excellent legal acumen strong client relationship skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.

We are seeking a dynamic individual with strong networking skills to drive and support growth across our network of offices. Working alongside our business development and marketing teams you will manage a caseload of private family matters including those involving high net worth individuals. This role is ideal for someone with a growth mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management:
  • Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of family law including divorce financial settlements child arrangements cohabitation agreements and prenuptial agreements.
  • Manage a diverse caseload from initial consultation through to resolution ensuring clients receive timely and effective legal support.
  • Conduct initial client consultations and ongoing case meetings offering clear and practical advice tailored to each clients unique situation.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients keeping them informed of case progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Legal Duties:
  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as petitions statements consent orders and cohabitation agreements.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and at mediation sessions advocating effectively on their behalf.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties striving for the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Conduct legal research to stay current with developments in family law and apply this knowledge to cases.
  • Compliance and Administration:
  • Ensure all case files and records are maintained in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of all client interactions case progress and legal advice provided.
  • Prepare billing information accurately and ensure timely invoicing of clients.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm sharing knowledge and supporting best practices.
