English Teacher

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Duties include:

• Teach English to three to four levels of students
  
• Plan and carry out learning activities related to schoolbased English Language curriculum
  
• Develop prepare and submit lesson plans scheme of work and teaching materials needed for the lessons
  
• Carry out continuous assessment on students performance throughout the school year
  
• Work closely with English teachers on curriculum preparation review and coplanning etc.
  
• Create a positive and language rich English Language learning environment
  
• Train students to participate in Hong Kong Schools English Speech Festival school drama group or other competitions
  
• Provide English enhancement training after school or during school holidays
  
• Assist with extracurricular activities e.g. English Day School events Kindergarten visits School Newsletter etc.
  
• Train student hosts for school events
  
• Attend educational courses or seminars outside school hours
  
• Be responsible to the Principal/Supervisor of the School and perform such duties as may be assigned to him/her by the Principal/Supervisor of the School
  

Requirements

• Nativelevel English speaker
  
• Degree and teaching certification (TEFL/TESOL/PGCE etc)
  
• 1 year teaching experience in a school
  
• Valid HK visa
  
• Be an enthusiastic motivated and socially committed teacher who is keen to work with young people and local teachers
