ICT Project Manager

Job Title: ICT Project Manager

Location: Galway Ireland. Hybrid

Contract / Permanent: 6 months with further extension

Start date: Early July 2024.

Role:

Our client purchases a wide variety of goods services and works from many suppliers with particular focus across education and research. In order to streamline purchasing from contracted suppliers it intends to implement an online electronic catalogue service to reduce the administrative burden associated with the ordering and payment process.

The financial record system currently used by the Client is Unit 4 ERP commonly known as Agresso Milestone 7 (Update 6). The Client is implementing a full turnkey solution purchased from One Advanced to integrate the online electronic catalogue service with Agresso. Currently 1000 staff access the requisitioning system though standard internet browsers.

The purpose of this SRFT is to identify an ICT Project Manager who will be responsible for the implementation of the eMarketplace Project and will be responsible for the management of a set of supplier stakeholder and customer relationships.

Experience Level Required:

It is a Mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed has the equivalent of:

Five years experience working at an Intermediate level in the area of IT or a related area.

Five years experience of providing leadership in large organisation(s) with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Experience of successfully implementing two (2) IT projects in large and complex organisation(s) within budget and defined timelines

Experience of leading collaboration across organisational boundaries with diverse groups of internal partners to deliver IT change.

Experience of working with formal methodologies (PRINCE2 ITIL or equivalent) and other aspects of current best practice for the delivery of IT projects and services.

Working knowledge of IT Architecture for finance enterprise systems (e.g. Agresso Milestone 7 (Update 6) or equivalent)

It is a mandatory requirement that the Resource proposed hold the following qualifications or equivalents:

Level 9 qualification in IT/ Management or equivalent.

Key Deliverable:

The following nonexhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role.

Delivering and implementing the eMarketplace project within time and budget.

Working with relevant stakeholders at a senior level to understand their business objectives and to define and develop services which meet their business needs and expectations all within the context of the Client s strategic plan and recognising the changing external IT environment.

Managing third party partner and supplier contracts for the delivery of products projects and services ensuring procurement compliance and value for money for the Client.

Leading managing and developing a team of assigned project staff members which may include one or more managers responsible for delivery of individual services as well as technical and customer service staff.

Managing the team to ensure that specified services are delivered against service descriptions and service specifications where necessary originating and agreeing these specifications and descriptions with relevant stakeholders.

Providing support and encouragement to team members in developing their potential aligned with the Client s aims including promoting Client defined performance management schemes.

Ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with defined project and service management processes (e.g. PRINCE2 and ITIL).

Ensuring services and projects are aligned with standards in terms of architecture and security.

Managing UAT at each stage of the project for each project deliverable.

Manage user training to stakeholder groups as required.

Preparing budgetary proposals and managing all procurement in compliance with the Client s policies on same.

Such other duties as may reasonably be required in undertaking the Project Manager role

Demonstrable experience of implementing IT/Finance related projects in large and complex organisations of similar scale and nature within budget and defined timelines

Demonstrable experience of collaboration across organisational boundaries with diverse groups of internal partners to deliver IT change. including managing stakeholder and supplier engagement

Significant experience of working with formal methodologies (PRINCE2 ITIL or equivalent) and other aspects of current best practice for the delivery of IT projects and services.

Working knowledge of IT Architecture for finance enterprise systems (e.g. Agresso Milestone 7 (Update 6) or equivalent)

Understanding of national procurement processes

Working knowledge and understanding of Higher Education and Public sectors
