Job Description
Please Note:
- Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of the Clients Headquarters in Woodlawn MD.
- Selected candidate must be willing to work onsite at least 2 days a week.
Position Description:
The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn new skills embed with a team solicit ideas and feedback and have good communication skills and on a daytoday basis perform the following:
- Automate and maintain MongoDB databases and infrastructure using Community Edition on Linux.
- Experience working with AWS database services including EC2 and S3.
- Attend all customer technical discussions/design/development meetings and provide technical inputs to further enhance the code quality/process.
- Provide guidance/support to other junior/midlevel developers.
- Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions processes standards or operational plans that position the client competitively in the marketplace.
- All other duties as assigned or directed.
Key Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of Mongo Community Edition on Linux MongoDB architecture and hands on experience with Ansible Automation.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Mathematics Engineering or a related field with 7 years of experience.
- Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
- 4 years of experience with MongoDB Community Edition on Linux.
- 3 years of Ansible development of increasing complexity.
- Candidate should be able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
Required Skills:
- Designing building and automating the Infrastructure for MongoDB Community Edition.
- Proven experience in using Python Ansible and similar methods to automate infrastructure tasks.
- Proven experience with Shell Scripting.
- Knowledge of MongoDB architecture.
- Git/Bitbucket Confluence and JIRA experience
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with modern development software tools and methodologies.
- Experience working on Agile projects and understanding Agile terminology.
- Previous work in DevOps Environments.
- Ansible Automation Platform experience.
- Experience on automating AWS ElastiCache provisioning administration and maintenance.
Basic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed. Bachelor s Degree and 7 years of work experience, Master s Degree and 5 years of work experience, or 11 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Must possess the F5 Certified Technology Specialist or Solutions Expert Level Certification. Seasoned industry professional with 3 -5 years of hands-on server load balancing experience in medium to large enterprise networks. 4 year of experience with network connectivity for physical and virtualized servers. 4 year of Experience installing and configuring network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, etc. 4 year of experience with the communication network using TCP/IP protocol. Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis. Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust designation Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration. Passed VMWare Data Center Virtualization or End User Computing examination Passed Cisco CCNP Certification Prior hands on experience with Cisco networks Knowledge of networking protocols such Domain Name Server (DNS), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Knowledge of IP routing protocols and implementations
