Opportunity
The SAP Data Engineer / Data Modeler Developer is responsible for designing building and maintaining the SAP data models to accelerate strategic decision making in the RMDx business. This role is accountable for the decision on the type of the model that works best for each use case and assessment on the overall model and selfservice. This role will work with the team to maintain data pipelines and schedules across multiple technologies ensuring timely/ trusted/targeted data to data value consumers.
What Youll Work On:
Establish the fundamentals for reporting by developing scalable data models to enable selfservice reporting accelerated insights and improved actionability.
Create sourcetodestination data mapping for data engineers to develop pipelines.
Partner with IT Functional leads to ensure capability design build validation deployment and steady state support.
Build and execution of data models using SAP data and other sources as needed for reporting business analytics in Power BI.
Resolve and/or facilitate resolution of problems including identifying cause to prevent reoccurrence. Identify and resolve business issues escalate issues when appropriate.
Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis.

Responsibilities:
Design and Map Technical Specifications per business requirements.
Communicate structure of models to visualization engineer and business analytics team.
Design and build Power BI certified semantic models and reports.
Hypercare support and issue resolution.
Works with the teams to maintain data pipelines and schedules across multiple technologies ensuring timely/ trusted/targeted data to data value consumers.
Required:
Bachelors degree in engineering preferred or equivalent years of experience.
4 years of experience in IT as a Data Engineer/ETL developer.
4 years of technical experience with SAP with at 2 years of experience in SAP BI.
Strong SAP data modeling experience.
4 years of experience with developing ETL pipelines in one or more of the following tools: Azure Data Factory Azure functions Data Flow Event hubs Event grids Informatica.
3 years of experience with Databricks and/or Spark.
Strong architecture integration data governance analytics and development background.
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to digest analyze and think through concepts from engineering through implementation and support.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work through ambiguities.
Strong business acumen. Ability to articulate technical concepts to a functional audience.
Preferred:
2 Years of SAP experience in the Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain area.
1 Year of SAP experience in the Order to Cash and/or Finance area.
